The Coordinating Council grants committee awarded a total of $600 to 3 recipients in the Durham and Person County school systems in the 2020-2021 school year. Beta Iota awarded a grant to Stephanie Byrd, High School English teacher at Person High. As a first year teacher, Ms. Byrd was grateful to receive the grant so she could purchase some poster sets related to English literature to help spark the imagination of her students. |
